Originally a private villa, facing the east side of the mosque, the Conquistador Hotel is housed in a traditional building, which blends in perfectly with the architectural style of Cordoba, enhanced by triple rows of stone-trimmed windows and ornate iron balustrades. The interior is a lovely blend of traditional Andalusian and Moorish styles. The spacious marble and granite lobby features a colourful stained glass window and opens onto an interior courtyard with seasonal flowers, a splashing fountain and a stone arcade. Also spacious, the 99 guestrooms are traditionally appointed, with black and white marble floors, wood fittings and bow windows. All are clean and well equipped, as are the en suite bathrooms. The hotel also offers a warm and comfortable restaurant, with capacity for 85 diners, where guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast, as well as international cuisine and gastronomic specialities of Cordova and Andalusia.
