Nestled in the heart of the historic centre, the NH Amistad Hotel is considered an architectural gem in its own right, consisting of two neo-classical, 18th century manor houses and an impressive Mudejar interior courtyard, complete with brick and stone colonnade, wrought-iron furniture and wood crafted adornments. There’s also a spacious lobby and a plush, bright lounge. The 84 guestrooms are generally modern, and though they follow a more functional approach in terms of décor than the public areas, all manage to be comfortable. The “Amistad” restaurant is located in the interior of the property, while “El Jardín de Petra” is a small, romantic exterior courtyard for guests to enjoy during spring and summertime. After working in several Michelin star restaurants, the hotel’s head chef, Periko Ortega, prepares an original cuisine based on fresh produce, with deep influences from traditional Andalusian cuisine.
