Initially renovated in 1996, and renovated again in 2000, the Maimonides Hotel is housed in a 3- and 4-storey end-of-terrace traditional building, which blends in with the architecture of the surrounding area. The interior is simply appointed, with Moorish-style touches. Accessible via glass doors, the cool, airy lobby features a marble floor and leads on to the typical Andalusian patios. These are decorated with colourful tiles on the walls, big flower pots and wrought iron tables and chairs. The 82 comfortable guestrooms have soothing décor in predominantly cream and avocado tones, complemented by light wood furnishings. All are clean and well maintained, as are the functional en suite bathrooms. The hotel also offers a large, bright restaurant where traditional Andalusian food is served, as well as a cosy tapas bar.
